Thank you for being a part of Half Moon Bay Shakespeare Company's efforts to bring "The Bard" to Coastal California!

Whether it was by performing, being on our production staff, coming to see our show, being a house volunteer, interacting with us on our social media platforms or even just your willingness to spread the word that we are back from our pandemic hiatus, we appreciate your continued support.

In a time where so many theatres are seeing low ticket sales and where established theatres are either closing completely or reducing their season and staffing, we were happy to be able to bring you Merry Wives of Windsor as our first post-pandemic production in 2023. And now, we are excited that we will be back in the afternoon sun and evening fog of Carter Park in 2024!  We will need your support to make our next season and future seasons viable. 

As we continue to produce and grow, our Board and Artistic Director have committed to a fundraising goal for 2024 that we’d like to kick off with an End of Year Giving plea. 

Our 2024 “Where There is a Will There’s a Play” campaign has an ambitious goal of $50, 000.  

Why such an ambitious goal? In addition to producing A Midsummer Night’s Dream in 2024, we are looking to expand our community engagement by bringing artistic offerings into schools and elderly care facilities on the coast and providing workshops for actors of all ages. 

Donations will help is with costumes, cast and crew compensation, lighting and sound equipment, wigs/hair and make-up, props and scenic materials, show posters and postcards and so many more things that go into putting on a play.

During the pandemic we all turned to the arts to sustain us.  Your donation truly makes a difference in helping us bring Shakespeare’s plays and programming to our community. Tax deductible donations can be made on our website using the donation button below, mailing a check or donating via Venmo @HalfMoonBayShakes.

With funding for the arts at an all time low, individual contributions are essential for the survival of arts organizations.

Your contributions will help us in many ways:
Rehearsal space rental, insurance, costumes, sets, lighting, sound, and video equipment, advertising and funding to create educational videos to be utilized in an academic and public format.

Even if you are unable to contribute at this time, please spread the word about the Half Moon Bay Shakespeare Company. There are many ways to assist as a volunteer if you live on the Coast or nearby.
